Dr. Shobha D is currently engaged in the molecularization of traditional medicines and Ayurvedic formulations with anticancer potential, employing proteomics and metabolomics approaches to facilitate their development into effective cancer therapeutics. Her research also focuses on drug repurposing of FDA-approved non-oncology drugs for cancer therapy by identifying cancer-associated kinases through phosphoproteomics and metabolomics analyses. In addition, she is involved in the development and curation of comprehensive signaling pathway maps related to cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and infectious diseases. These integrative pathway resources aid in identifying key molecular regulators, novel therapeutic targets, and network-level interactions, thereby supporting rational drug design and systems-level understanding of disease mechanisms.
