Sumrati Gurtoo obtained her M.Sc. degree in Microbiology from C.C.S University, Meerut, India. She worked as a Lab Technician on a research project entitled "Validation of indigenously developed technologies for diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis" in AIIMS, New Delhi, India. At CSBMM, she is involved in mass spectrometry based proteomics to identify urinary biomarkers for neonatal asphyxia.
