Center for Systems Biology and Molecular Medicine

The Center for Systems Biology and Molecular Medicine (CSBMM) is an academic research center jointly established by the Yenepoya University, Mangalore and Institute of Bioinformatics, Bangalore, India. CSBMM is a part of Yenepoya Research Center, which was established in November 20, 2014 for planning and carrying out multidisciplinary science. CSBMM is equipped with experimental and data analysis platforms for state-of-art proteomic and metabolomic investigation in the area of discovery and validation of biomarkers and therapeutic targets in human diseases.

• To enable researchers to carry out high-throughput proteomics and metabolomics-based research using cutting-edge technologies in broad areas of non-communicable and infectious diseases
• To establish NextGen sequencing-based genomics facility to investigate genetic diseases and detect infectious pathogens
• To provide exposure and hands-on training in proteomics, genomics and bioinformatics to students, young researchers and scientists
